English: 2,174 GRT cargo steamship Chatham partly submerged in the Suez Canal after her cargo of dynamite for Japan exploded on 28 September 1905. Robert Ropner & Sons built her at Stockton-on-Tees in 1898. She was owned by the British Steamship Co of London and managed by Watts and Watts.
