My username reflects that I was born in Washington, DC and that I am a visual artist and a writer of non-fiction. Since the latter requires research, I started editing Wikipedia because I often found the articles in my areas of interest that came up in internet searches needed improvement. I also found that writing improved my comprehension of what I was reading. At any particular time, I focus on a single topic which often includes a number of linked articles.
