En total hay más de 40 acueductos que fueron construidos por la cultura Nazca, una civilización pre-inca de Nazca, hace 1500 años. Los acueductos aseguraban el suministro de agua a la ciudad de Nazca y sus cercanías, permitiendo el cultivo de algodón, alubias o patatas en esta región tan árida.

There are more than 40 and they were built by the Nasca culture, a pre-Inca civilization of Nazca, about 1,500 years ago.
